Novade Product Update for November – December, 2018

General

  • Safety has a new feature called Meetings. Meetings can be configured easily to record any type of meeting like Tool Box, Safety briefing etc. Speak to your Novade representative for more details.
  • iOS 5.8.26 is in the App store

Novade Quality

  • Fixes:
    • Fixed issue where homeowners were able to lodge defects from the floorplan even after DLP has expired.
    • Fixed issue where Consultant type users were able to edit defects even if they had only Lodge and Close rights.
    • Fixed issue where it was not possible to reopen Completed defects when not using Cases.
  • Added:
    • Filter by Consultant company at unit level.
    • Ability to duplicate checklists along with main form.
    • Ability to edit defect date AND time for admin users.
    • Option to choose not to duplicate photos when duplicating a form.
    • Ability to translate customized terms into different languages in the project hierarchy.
    • The Company name of the user in the History log.
  • Improved PDF output shows a caption for subform photos that include the date, time and subform to which it belongs.
  • Replaced the term ‘Floorplan’ with ‘Drawing’ to be more generic.
  • Web –
    • New Dashboard for unit status based on the status of defects in each unit.
    • Ability to set default target completion date by Project instead of the entire database.
    • Renumbering cases uses a separate counter for homeowner and Inspector cases. Also, renumbering is not allowed if cases are archived.
    • Subcontractor login – Closed and Completed defects separated instead of being grouped together.
    • Improved By Unit filter for subcontractors only presents units with defects as a selection
    • Added log event to history when cases are merged and renumbered.
    • removed the option to restore an Orphan defect’s deleted case since it was restoring all the other deleted defects as well..
    • Minor update to sequence of legend in Forms Tracking Dashboard and colour in Form By Unit Dashboard.
  • Mobile –
    • Subforms are no longer listed separately in the mobile, but are always part of the main form
    • Surveys tab renamed to Forms to accommodate for other types of forms.
    • Countdown to end of DLP is removed from the homeowner app. Only the DLP end date will be displayed.
    • Homeowner can see that a case has been archived with a message to contact Customer Service for un-archival.
    • Added ability in the defect lodging wizard to delete a photo just taken.
    • Added option via long-press to Close multiple defects in a WIP case.

Novade Safety

  • Fixes –
    • Fixed an issue where restrictions by form roles were not working on the mobile.
    • Fixed an issue where subcontractors could not see photos attached to observations.
  • Custom fields can be added at the unit level.
  • Removed the None option for NCR assignees.
  • Added the ability to define the plurals for project hierarchy terms such as Block, Level, Unit.
  • PTW – All users in the previous stages of the workflow are notified when a PTW is rejected.
  • NCRs
    • Can be configured to notify users depending on risk level of NCR. These users are added as cc when the NCR is confirmed.
    • Can be assigned to a group/team of users. Display of groups/teams is configurable.
    • Individual NCR risk levels can be edited when confirming the NCR.
  • Web –
    • UI improvement – Enlarged unit column size.
  • Mobile –
    • PTWs are filtered by Status instead of being viewed together in one list.
    • NCRs can be filtered by risk level.

Novade Maintenance

  • Fixes –
    • If a job’s start date is earlier than the submission date due to issues with a user’s phone, the job is blocked from being submitted.
  • Improved UI for selecting an asset when the first two levels of the hierarchy do not exist.
  • Web –
    • Improved UI for Utility dashboards. All utilities are consolidated under a filter dropdown instead of in separate tabs.
    • Improved graphs for Discrete Value dashboard with upper and lower limits defined. Any values outside the limits will be listed in a table.
    • Map view – If a site is not present or geocoded, the project geocode is used to locate the project.
  • Mobile – Improved UI for Request creation –
    • Instead of Select Location the wizard says Select from List.
    • The asset displays the location and description as well for easier selection.
    • If a user selects “asset not in the list” asset group and asset ID drop-downs are removed from the following screens.

 

Novade Activity

  • Web – Ability to –
    • Automatically update the planned start date of a linked task if the planned end date of the prior task is changed.
    • View all the forms related to tasks at the Activity level.
    • Import Activities via Excel.
    • Archive activities.
  • Display list of following tasks on the task page.

People

  • Fixes
    • Fixed an issue where power users were not able to see all users.
    • Fixed an issue where search was not working if the search contained Chinese characters.
  • Web –
    • Ability to filter homeowners by project.
    • Added a company field when creating a new employee.
    • When transferring a user between projects, added check to see if the user has outstanding timecards first.
    • Added alerts when editing a sub-con user and company types.
  • Mobile – Ability to view PTWs that a person is participating in on the Person’s profile.
