Novade Product Update for February 2021

 

Seamless integration with more thermal scanners  

Users will be able to seamlessly integrate thermal scanners from Intercorp, Adera, and Ascent with Novade’s construction app. This is in addition to the integration with the Pensees thermal scanners rolled out last year. The integration of the cutting-edge technology onto the Novade construction management platform enables you to easily and safely conduct contactless temperature screening, capture data to monitor and manage site entry, complete timecards as well as automatically generate reports. 

Novade Quality

  • Mobile – added the ability for homeowners to see archived cases.
  • Added the ability for restricted consultants to have archived data included in their excel exports.
  • Added Project Level Server Counters for forms.
  • Work Start Date is now also displayed at Defect Level and not just Case Level. 
  • Added the ability to send email reminders to specific people for outstanding forms. 
  • Fixed issues: 
    • Subcons in a group assigned to a workflow stage could not perform the workflow actions. 
    • Email notifications not being sent. 
    • Creating subforms from pages that are not unit pages. 
    • The name displayed in exported inspection PDFs. 
    • Once the signature storage feature was turned on, a signature was added automatically to forms that did not require a signature. 
    • Not being able to submit forms that have subforms with mandatory fields even if they are filled in.
    • Case excel exports included an additional day after a date range filter is applied.
    • Some users not being able to view defects they are assigned to rectify. 
    • Floorplans being split into two pages in the exported PDF. 
    • The incorrect numbering of defects on exported PDFs. 
    • Dashboard item missing if at least one project is not using Defects. 
    • Custom dashboard configuration for one project changing the configuration for all projects. 
    • Filtering defects by location. 
    • The display of the display configuration file. 
    • Custom Excel exports not working. 
    • Configuration of Custom Displays for Unit Status dashboard. 
    • Scheduled Confirmation and Closing dates missing from the calendar view. 
    • Subcon users not being able to see anything on Quality web dashboards.
    • Excel exports of forms and subforms together not working properly. 
    • Changing the default contractor for defects. 
    • The description of photos was not visible in the exported PDF. 
    • Some Client Admins were able to see Action buttons that they shouldn’t be able to. 
    • The Top 5 Assignees were not being updated after applying filters. 
    • Missing photos in the PDF export of an Inspection form. 
    • Archiving cases and forms manually. 
    • The Case by Status dashboard on mobile not displaying archived data. 
    • Form history not displaying in order. 
    • The display of drawing in form fields where the latest drawing was not displayed if there were multiple drawings attached to the unit. 

Novade Safety-HSE

  • The default setting for Actions’ numbering is now the server counter.
  • Fixed issues: 
    • Mass deleting of draft forms.
    • Submitting forms even if all the fields are filled. 
    • A tab appearing on PTWs for workflow stages that should not be there. 
    • The signature was being added automatically to forms that did not require a signature after the signature storage feature was turned on. 
    • The user was not redirected to the correct page to create an Action directly from a photo when creating it from an Observation. 
    • Archived safety forms are not included in the Excel export. 
    • A user was not able to go back to the My Tasks page after completing an action from that list. 
    • Receiving email notifications when not signed into the mobile app.
    • Users not being able to apply for PTWs and encountering JavaScript errors. 
    • Users seeing unexpected text in the left menu bar on the web. 
    • Mass deleting draft forms. 
    • Section Headers showing in the wrong position if the next field is empty. 
    • Users without the right to create an NC were seeing the button. 
    • The display of Incidents dashboards not showing correct data. 
    • WPTW users in assigned groups not seeing actions in My Tasks. 
    • Date filters were adding an extra day’s data. 
    • Client Admins were able to see all action buttons, they should only see action buttons if they are in the workflow.
    • Users could not reject a PTW. 

Novade Reports

  • Additions:
    • The ability to automatically fill supply reception record by scanning a QR code. 
    • Check-in people by scanning a QR code. 
    • Filter dashboards by activity fields. 
    • An option to disable the computation of equipment use duration based on their link to Activities. 
    • Display more information on tables when linking headcounts to Activities. 
    • Display timecards night hours.  
    • Display the progress compared to the target, in Activity and Supply dashboards.
  • Fixed issues: 
    • The timecard for overtime was not displayed.  
    • The field of type “Quality form field value” was not displaying the value on the web. 
    • A UI issue where fields were misaligned in an Activity. 
    • Not setting the default value of Activity Quantity fields was causing to have it set to ‘0’ by default. 
    • People already checked-in were no longer displayed when the search bar was used on the check-in selection page. 
    • Creating several activities in a row on mobile, the back arrow was going to the previous activity created instead of the main activity list page 

Novade Maintenance

  • Fixed an issue:
    • Submitting inspections even though forms are complete and progress is 100%. 
    • Only the first assignee could submit jobs. 

Novade Workforce

  • Fixed an issue:
    • Upon changing the start time for a generic activity, the start time was set incorrectly.

Novade Activity

  • Added the ability for users with ‘View All Forms’ to see all the forms on a project even if they are not assignees. 
  • Optimised the app for speed while viewing tasks and forms. 
  • Mobile – added the ability to sort tasks by their position in the activity template. 
  • Fixed issues:  
    • Uploaded files were not visible to some users. 
    • Users were not able to submit forms caused by an issue with Parent teams. 
    • Specific users could not access forms on mobile. 
    • Users with “view all” rights being able to submit forms. 
    • The Safety form attachment being duplicated on the exported PDF.
    • Users from the same company cannot see draft forms that have been duplicated. 
    • Users not seeing the action button even if they are in the workflow or are an assignee. 
    • Users could not create forms. 
    • The description of tasks was not being saved. 

Novade People

  • Added the ability to integrate thermal scanners from Intercorp, Adera, and Ascent, in addition to Pensees. 
  • Added API calls for temperature checks. 
  • Fixed issues:  
    • The web app crashes when adding a user to a company. 
    • Needing to refresh the page after adding a thermal scanner to see it. 
    • Setting a user as Client Admin or Novade Admin. 
    • Novade Admin not being able to access a project’s settings. 
    • Client Admins were able to delete objects in the final stage. 

Project Center

  • Additions:
    • A column in the template view to indicate whether a field is hidden or not.
    • A check to ensure that only numbers can be entered in numeric or decimal fields. 
    • A Recycle Bin that stores all deleted items for one week. Also added the ability to export this list to Excel. 
  • Fixed issues: 
    • The display of URLs in Broadcast Messages. 
    • Missing logs for deleted meter readings and recurring events. 
    • Missing info for DeletedBy for various objects in the Recycle Bin. 
    • Field labels were being displayed in the web app even though they are supposed to display in PDF only. 
    • Some Admin users did not have access to configuration for Quality and Safety-HSE. 

Novade Insights

  • Fixed issues: 
    • Quality – the number of WIP units was not correct.  
    • Safety-HSE – the number of Actions was not consistent between the two charts.  
    • General – some archived projects with Novade Desktop were not included in Insights.
