DEMATHIEU BARD adopts an AI solution to build a predictive and preventive approach
Implemented directly on construction sites, Prevention AI will support on-site decision-making while taking into account the specificities of each project.
“In line with our innovation strategy, we are exploring many AI solutions to optimise our processes and meet our clients’ expectations. Among the many tests underway, we are excited to roll out our first group-wide AI application focusing on safety and quality. With Novade’s support, we’re taking a significant step forward for the benefit of our teams and clients,” said Stéphane Monceaux, Chairman of the Executive Board of DEMATHIEU BARD.
“We are honoured to support DEMATHIEU BARD in this major digital transformation. For the past ten years, Novade has helped construction industry leaders manage operations by collecting and structuring site data (quality, safety, progress). With Novade Prevention AI, our clients can combine their field data with AI and their industry expertise to identify potential risks in advance and enable teams to act proactively.
The solution is already deployed with clients in Asia, achieving 88% risk detection rates. We’re proud to bring this innovation to Europe with DEMATHIEU BARD and to contribute together to safer worksites,” said Bruno Suard, EMEA General Manager.
To train the AI, DEMATHIEU BARD’s innovation teams have provided Novade with highly specific datasets collected across all sites, strengthening the understanding of QHSE challenges. With Novade, the Group gains a powerful solution to anticipate and mitigate risks.
In just a few minutes, DEMATHIEU BARD teams will now be able to:
- Accelerate the digitalisation of worksite and HSE processes through a user-friendly interface.
- Access real-time, customisable dashboards tailored to different user roles for enhanced operational tracking.
- Benefit from predictive analysis for each site, improving quality and rapidly reducing incident frequency rates.
“Thanks to AI, we can now cross-reference sensitive factors to better identify risk areas. This shifts us from a reactive mindset to a predictive and proactive approach,” explained Jonathan Chemouil, Technical Innovation Director at DEMATHIEU BARD. “Novade is currently the only solution offering multiple modules to fully meet construction site Quality, Safety, and Environmental needs. We closely followed the AI testing in Singapore, which predicted risk situations in 88% of cases.”
Progressive deployment of the AI solution
For nearly a year, DEMATHIEU BARD’s QHSE and operations teams have been working hand in hand with Novade to:
- Anticipate and adapt corrective safety actions based on data analysis.
- Better understand behaviours by analysing work methods.
- Identify worksites with the highest risk factors and act early to prevent potential incidents.
- Prevent quality defects and guarantee the highest standards.
After an initial configuration phase, around ten sites were selected as pilot projects between April and June 2025 to test the solution and gather valuable feedback from teams. This stage helped identify new developments to enrich the platform’s functionality.
“Users clearly see the value of the solution and its broad operational and strategic potential. Digitisation with Novade will transform our day-to-day operations and project management. It will save valuable time by eliminating repetitive data entry still required by traditional tools like Excel or Word. This is a solution built by the site, for the site, responding to real field needs,” said a QSE Department representative at DEMATHIEU BARD.
Since June 02, the solution has been deployed on 100% of the Group’s worksites, giving all team members real-time access to relevant data and analytics through tailored dashboards.
The Novade solution is now available to building and civil engineering teams. A total of 390 employees have completed specific training to ensure the tool is finely tuned and further enhanced with DEMATHIEU BARD’s data. The AI module dedicated to safety is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025, while the quality module will be deployed in the first half of 2026. Training efforts will continue in parallel.
