Novade Product Update for March 2020

 

General

The new Quality UI was released on March 31. In the Safety module, the creation of Weekly Permits to Work (WPTWs) has been restricted based on open permits from April 2. Improvements have also been made to equipment certificates in the Maintenance module. 

Novade Quality

    • Improved the defect assignment interface to show the default assignee type as All when there are no assignees for the Company type.
    • Improved the UI to create mandatory forms if the option “one instance per linked item” is not checked.
    • Optimised PDF exports to show drawings only if objects have been pinned on the drawings.
    • Added a tab for a consolidated view of all photos related to a unit.
    • Inspection –
      • Improved the PDF export to include both the main form and checklists.
      • The customisable table view on the web is now available for inspections.
      • Added the ability to track failed inspections and re-inspections.
    • Web –
      • Added a column to list the various stages and timestamps in the excel export of forms
      • Added the ability to export to excel from custom table views for forms.
      •  Improved left panel design with consolidated My Actions menu item and Units menu item has been brought up.
      •  Improved the performance when retrieving archived records.
      • Added the ability to export defects attached to a form to excel with the form ID referenced.
      • Improved the UI when a drawing is uploaded to a unit.
      • Added a status N/A to the Forms by Unit Dashboard when a mandatory form is not applicable to a unit.
    • Mobile –
      • Added the ability to quickly find reopened defects.
      • Added a search bar on View all Units page.
      • Added the ability to attach a file to a unit.
      • Added the ability for Homeowners to see if multiple drawings are available in their unit.
    • Fixes:
      • The assignee of the inspection was reverted to the creator of the inspection.
      • A JavaScript error was popping up while pinning a defect on a drawing.
      • On databases that use more modules than Quality where homeowners were landing on a Settings page.
      • The Assignee tab in the Quality mobile app was not appearing when there were no companies created.
      • Inspections that had a custom workflow were not showing under the Pending Close tab.
      • The PDF export from mobile did not display photos and comments.
      • A rejected form was not visible if the language settings were different on the rejecter and rejectee’s devices.
      • Line breaks in long text fields were not appearing in PDF exports of forms.
      • People without Novade accounts were receiving notifications.
      • Some actions on forms were not showing up in My Actions.
      • Floorplans not rendering properly on mobile when lodging a defect.
      • An incorrect floorplan was showing when lodging the second defect.
      • Subcontractor users were unable to see draft forms.
      • Inspection assignees were displaying incorrectly.
      • My Actions on web and mobile were not the same.
      • Filtered defects exported to excel were producing a file that could not be opened.
      • The table view of forms on the web was showing subform IDs instead of the subform names.
      • Form labels were not displayed in PDF exports.
      • Filters on some tabs in Defect by Unit were not working.
      • Uploading files to a unit.
      • Forms on projects that had the Use Maps option were not included the floorplan in PDF exports.
      • Forms were not showing in My Actions on the web.
      • The workflow of the main form was not displaying in PDF exports.
      • Descriptions of photos were not displaying in PDF exports.
      • Subcons were showing up in the owner field when closing a case.
      • A mandatory reason in a “Go to” workflow step was not displayed to the person receiving the form. Also, the form shows up in My Actions now.
      • On the web, where clicking on the rejected forms item was not redirecting to the table list view of rejected forms
      • On the web calendar view for subcons, where the month was not displaying accurately.
      • Rolled back a feature to fit drawings on one page of a PDF since it was affecting the resolution for some users.
      • The left pane was not displaying on the web.
      • With dashboard displays due to archive calculations being incorrect.
      • Excel exports of defects were showing incorrect information.
      • Locations showed as N/A in the exported PDF if more than one unit was inspected.
      • On large databases, only half the forms were visible.
      • The archiving of forms was causing the Unit Status dashboard to change.
      • A pop-up appears prompting users to assign defects to subcons who are not on the list.
      • Japanese characters from the Hiragana and Katakana family were not recognized while generating a case number.
      • An asynchronous PDF download request was generating a link to a blank PDF.
      • Folders for files were not displaying on the mobile app.
      • The drawings were not included in a PDF export of defects from the unit.
      • Users were receiving notifications with no link to the form.

     

Novade Safety

  • Added:
    • The ability to use multiple drawings.
    • A restriction on the creation of Weekly PTWs if there are open Weekly PTWs of the same type. This makes the WPTW behavior the same as daily PTWs.
    • A check to display the cost field only when the option is ticked in setup.
  • Web:
    • Admin –
      • Removed the configuration errors for no users in the Approved stage of PTWs.
      • Added the ability to exclude templates from Auto Archival.
    • Inspections –
      • UI change: icons added for photos and comments.
    • Observations –
      • Added the ability to export multiple observations by category to PDF.
    • PTW –
      • Added a column to list the various stages and timestamps in the excel export of PTWs.
  • Mobile:
    • Inspections – UI change: a changed Inspections icon to match that in the Quality module.
  • Incidents – Added the ability to see the “Next person in charge” in the table view
  • Fixes:
    • Weekly PTW PDFs were not showing the spatial hierarchy location in the PDF export.
    • Line breaks in long text fields were not appearing if data was filled from the web.
    • Unit reference numbers were not displaying when selecting the unit.
    • The navigation arrows in files view were not working.
    • The display of inspections on the calendar view.
    • The display of Company Names in the web view of Meetings.
    • A JavaScript error while accessing forms.
    • PTWs assigned to groups not showing up in My Actions.
    • PTWs pinned on a drawing not showing in the PDF export.
    • Hidden fields were displaying incorrectly.
    • Unit reference numbers blocking the creation of forms.
    • The drawing icon showing twice on the web blue bar.
    • The company name of the previous person in the workflow of a PTW displaying next to the name of the next person.
    • Creating new categories for Observations.
    • The archive tab of objects with a custom table view was not displaying the correct column headers.
    • Retrieved archived Meetings were not visible.
    • Creating checklists from Inspections.
    • Observations were displayed even though the user was not given access to it.
    • The restriction of creation of WPTWs on open permits is not applied to duplicated WPTWs.
    • Mismatched header and column information in the excel export for PTWs.
    • The PDF export of Observations with custom categories still showing Positive, Negative and Neutral.
    • Date filters do not display information the end date selected.

    Novade Maintenance

    • Added the ability to multi-select and delete multiple assets.
    • Changed the date format for our Japanese customers.
    • Certificates have been improved to include imports, exports, comments, and ability to track version history.
    • Added User Rights for Jobs and Requests.
    • Added the ability to make meter readings optional.
    • Web:
      • Removed the History column from the excel export of Requests.
      • Removed the “Approved By” and “Approved Date” columns from excel exports when the Approval step is not enabled.
      • Added the ability to link certificate files via excel import.
      • Added the ability to multi-select and delete multiple recurring events.
      • Added the ability to update all inspections via an Excel import.
      • Reintroduced the ability to include forms in the excel export of Inspections, this time as an option.
      • Added the ability to export all Requests to excel.
    • Fixes:
      • An error message when changing the severity of a job.
      • HTML tags showing on the web.
      • The number of jobs in the calendar view does not match the number displayed on the tab.
      • A message “duplicate jobs” displays but no other details are displayed.
      • An alignment issue on the display of jobs on Android phones.
      • Job filters not displaying data correctly.
      • Jobs not being able to be submitted unless the form attached is submitted.
      • Asset category headers were not updating when skipping pages while navigating.
      • Date filters not displaying the correct data.
      • Technicians had the ability to edit Requests even if they did not have the rights to create Requests.
      • Incorrect colours showing on the Asset Status dashboard.
      • The numbers on the landing page of the mobile app did not tally with the actual content.
      • Users were not able to close Requests when the Approval step is disabled even after the job is submitted.
      • My Actions displayed actions for Requests for users without Acknowledge/Close rights.
      • The sort function was not working correctly in Japanese.
      • Jobs and Inspections on databases that do not have Approval enabled were showing under status Pending Verification.
      • Technicians with Close Request rights were unable to close Requests.

    Novade Activity

    • Added:
      • The ability to mass delete activities and tasks.
      • The ability to link a milestone to the end date of its last task.
      • A link to the task within a form linked to a task.
    • Web –
      • Added a new By Tag dashboard.
      • Added the ability to mass update Activities when the Activity template is updated.
    • Fixes:
      • Projects were not being displayed in alphabetical order.
      • Incorrect colours on the mobile for form status.
      • Users were not able to see all their own tasks.
      • Estimates start and end dates for some tasks was displaying incorrectly.
      • Photos and comments were not visible to some users.
      • A JavaScript error in the files tab of a task.
      • The updating of duration in a custom field was not working.

    Novade People

    • Web –
      • Added the ability for Power Users to export User lists.
      • Added the ability for Power Users to see users with no Project assigned.
    • Fixes
      • Incorrect error messages appearing when importing client type users.
    • Added a parameter Trade to Companies to help with Insights.

    Project Center

    • Added:
      • An Admin Audit Log for templates.
      • A check to ensure that the WIP stage from an Inspection cannot be deleted.
      • A check to ensure that when a workflow stage is deleted if there are fields that are marked as editable in that stage, a pop-up should ask the user to confirm the deletion.
      • A check to ensure that when a form is imported using an excel import there are no duplicate Field IDs.
      • The ability to mass delete Maintenance data from a project.
    • Fixes:
      • Users were not being added as owners of forms correctly.
      • The user type filter was not working on the User Rights page.
      • Deleting Quality data was also deleting the Contractor/Master List link.
      • The search bar for Safety user rights was not working.
      • Deleted Defect types were still showing in Locations.
      • Not being able to delete workflow stages from a PTW.
      • The Defect Master List was not accessible.
      • Incorrect Defects showing up in projects.

     

    Novade Insights

    • Quality:
      • Fix naming issue and UI for the performance tab.
      • Add data and drill down by defect subtype.
      • Added more in-depth indicators for units and case analysis. Including performance to close case and the status by month.
      • Empty information for types are now labelled ‘no type’ and ‘no location’ for location instead of an empty field i.e. “ ”.
    • Safety:
      • Revamp dashboard view for PTWs, Actions, Incidents, Observations and Safety forms. The top 3 indicators are more relevant and include the last 30 days variation with a clear color code.
      • Added average risk level and risk variation.
    • Workforce:
      • Added a tab for adoption and workforce statistics.
      • Added a chart and widget to display the analysis of the average check-in and check-out times.
      • A new activity analysis tab has been deployed.
    • Activity:
      • Added a new set of dashboards that focus on Activity Analysis, including progress by unit and site.
      • Performance dashboard split into two analysis dashboards.
      • Added dashboards for Forms Analysis, it includes view on forms by month, by type, by site and by contributors.
      • Empty category to be renamed ‘No category’ instead of no information. Similar changes for no assignee and no site.
      • Added a dashboard for planning progression.
    • Bug Fixes:
      • PDF export failed for some users.
      • The title does not display after a long loading time.
      • The number of days since the last incident was not accurate.
      • PTW performance was not calculated right.
      • The open PTWs count was wrong.
      • Shift longer than 24 hours.
      • Grey floating bar for some dashboards.
      • People username shows database indicator.
      • Empty filter for site, project, companies, and users.
      • The pie chart on the action dashboard does not activate filters.
      • Quality Forms that does not include some inspections.
