Novade Product Update for June 2020

 

Renaming of Novade Safety

With effect from 2nd July 2020, the Novade Safety module will be renamed Novade Safety-HSEall functionalities remain the same. The name change is to more closely align to the fact that the module can be used to manage all aspects of site safety including health and environment issues. 

In the Novade Quality module, homeowners are now able to see rejected defects and the reason for rejection. 

Novade Quality

  • Added various features to make the Quality module compliant with HDB requirements in Singapore. 
  • Modification to the text displayed after a homeowner requests for a joint inspection. Removed the word “shortly” to ensure there is no misconception on response time.  
  • Added subforms to be autoarchived when the main form is archived. 
  • When a defect is moved to a new case by a power user/admin, the lodged by field retains the original value. 
  • Added the ability for homeowners to see rejected defects and the reason for rejection. 
  • Removed Pending Start cases from the WIP tracking counts. 
  • Added a check to ensure that forms cannot be duplicated in units where only one instance of the form is allowed. 
  • Forms created in a unit are now visible even if their templates are not linked to the unit type. 
  • Added a check to minimise the creation of drafts and to encourage users to finish drafts that were previously started. If a user has a draft version of a template, they will be prompted to pick from a list of existing drafts to work on instead of creating a new one by default.
  • The Target Completion Date of a defect is tied to the Work Start Date instead of the Confirmation Date. 
  • Web – Improved filters in the Unit view.
  • Web – Added the Unit Ref (if any) to the table view display of Units.
  • Mobile  Added the ability to view the count of archived optional forms. 
  • Fixes:
    • An error when clicking on the back button after viewing the Unit Defects status page. 
    • On Android phones where the drawing field was not being duplicated. 
    • An error while creating a checklist.
    • A second form was able to be created even when there was a restriction to be able to create only one form per unit. 
    • Exporting multiple forms to PDF.
    • On mobile where the defects status header was showing the status from the case instead of from the defects. 
    • Date and time of photos uploaded was not showing correctly on exported PDFs. 
    • Draft forms were not visible when the option “one form per unit” was checked. 
    • PDF exports on mobile were generating errors.
    • On mobile, where My Actions header was showing as My Account.
    • The filter was not available in the forms by unit section. 
    • All the floorplans for a unit were not being exported to PDF. 
    • Floorplans were getting split into two pages when being exported to a PDF. 
    • The “Without photo” filter on defects was not working. 
    • Deactivating users was affecting the display of the CC list on forms.
    • Clicking on “View Forms” was rerouting the user to the Unit list view. 

Novade Safety-HSE

  • Modified text to make it clearer when certificates have expired.  
  • Added a check to minimise the creation of drafts and to encourage users to finish previously started drafts. If a user has a draft version of a template, they will be prompted to pick from a list of existing drafts to work on instead of creating a new one by default. 
  • Web:
    • The filtered date range is displayed on pages of archived items. 
    • Included inspections in the Safety Overview dashboard. 
    • Added the ability to download floorplans with items pinned on them as separate PDFs.
  • Mobile – Added a preview button for urls to open in the browser for weblink fields. 
  • Web – The Forms dashboard has been modified to match the format in Quality. 
  • Incidents – Added another selection for Root Causes with the ability to enter via a free text box. 
  • Web – Modified the header “Date” in the table view to read “Date Submitted” for clarity. 
  • Web – Added the ability to create an Inspection from various views including the calendar view. 
  • Fixes: 
    • On mobile where the headers in PTWs and Meetings were displaying incorrect titles. 
    • Files were no longer visible after changing projects files are linked to. 
    • Errors were appearing when closing a PTW.
    • On Android phones where the drawing field was not being duplicated. 
    • PDFs for temperature checks not exporting properly if users had a mix of names input via QR code and manually typed in names. 
    • If a PTW is rejected, the user is asked for a mandatory photo based on fields in the form instead of only based on the rejection. 
    • Linked forms were not all being exported to PDF. 
    • Custom observation categories in a pie chart on a web dashboard could not be clicked on. 
    • The “All” option was not showing in the Forms by Unit dashboard. 
    • An error displaying when accessing My Actions for PTWs. 
    • Expired certificates were not showing up on PTW PDF exports. 
    • Sorting Scheduled Inspections. 
    • Opening a safety inspection from a notification the user is redirected to Quality when clicking on the back button. 
    • In meetings on the web where the “Conducted By” filter was not working.
    • Errors when downloading a PDF on mobile.
    • A large gap between general info and the rest on a PTW PDF.

Novade Maintenance

  • Added:
    • A check to ensure that only users who have the rights to start a job can be assigned to it. 
    • Additional filters for jobs. 
    • A message to display when a user has no actions. 
    • The ability to create custom fields for jobs.
    • Added the ability to download QR codes of all assets with one click. 
    • Added the ability to close multiple requests from My Actions at one time.
    • An additional step on mobile to make the Select Asset Wizard easier to use. 
  • When adding assets to an Inspection/Job the assets are sorted by Asset Group. 
  • Changed the way jobs behave in that a job can be scheduled/performed on an asset even if it does not have the checklist associated with it. 
  • Modified views for team managers to be able to see only jobs/inspections ready for approval from teams they manage. 
  • Web:
    • Improved UX with confirmation dialog box that provides more information when importing recurring events.
    • UI changed to display default filters more clearly when viewing Inspections, Jobs and Meter Readings. 
    • Added the ability to create Requests directly from the web dashboard view. 
    • Added generated Inspections from Recurring Events to the excel export. 
  • Mobile – Optimised the app for speed when browsing long lists. 
  • Fixes: 
    • Assignee names were not being updated upon an update in People. 
    • The number of inspections on the web and mobile were not matching. 
    • Users could not log out from the web.
    • recurring event could be created for assets even if there was no team assigned to it.
    • Archived data was not being included in the excel exports. 
    • New recurring events could not be imported via excel. 
    • Importing users via excel and hence unable to update existing jobs. 
    • Forms related to jobs/inspections could not be created or viewed. 
    • Some users not being able to approve jobs even if they have the right to do so. 
    • Creating a new job. 
    • Filters could not be cleared on the web. 
    • Managers could not approve jobs if they were not linked to an asset.

Novade Workforce

  • Harmonised some terminology that was inconsistent on the web. 
  • Added the ability to add bonuses on timecards to be used in Reports. 
  • Fixes:
    • Kiosk users unable to check-in. 
    • A worker without previously created timecards could not be scanned in. 
    • Project owners were showing up in team counts. 

Novade Activity

  • Added the ability to duplicate forms to save time creating a new one after a form is rejected. 
  • Web:
    • Modified the Units Milestone Summary dashboard to exclude units with no activities when a block filter is applied. 
    • Added an archived tab to consolidate all archived activities in one place and to clean up the display of open activities. 
  • Fixes:
    • Users who were part of an authorised group on a workflow were not able to advance the form to the next state.
    • The correct location was not being displayed in the exported PDF.
    • Users were able to create forms even if they did not have the Create Form rights.
    • Deleted drawings were causing errors on mobile devices.
    • The “Started By” field was not showing up for tasks.
    • Users were able to delete activities and tasks even if they did not have the rights to do so.
    • Users were not able to see the Start button on tasks.
    • On the web where the number of files was not showing until a folder is clicked on.
    • Custom fields were not cleared when an Activity project is reset.

Novade People

  • Added the ability to locate users on-site via location check-in/check-out function. 
  • Added the ability to download a custom QR code per person.
  • Added the ability for a user to record their own temperature.
  • Fixes:
  • Admin users do not have access to People upon the creation of a new database.
  • Users with a valid email address were not receiving the reset password link via email. 

Project Center

  • Added the ability to exclude public holidays from working days. The list of public holidays can be automatically retrieved based on the country.
  • Added the ability to add geolocation metadata to photos. 
  • Fixes:
  • An incorrect message displaying when importing users.
  • Subcon accounts did not have the ability to be assigned Inspection rights.
  • In Quality setup where the association of defect types with locations was not working for client admins.
  • Client admins were able to see the maintenance rights for Novade Admins.
  • Templates were not accessible.
  • PTW templates could not be linked to asset groups.

Novade Insights

  • General – Added colour uniformity to each chart, which remains consistent across dashboards.
  • Quality: 
    • Added ‘Companies with Open defects’ to Company Benchmark page 
    • Added ‘Average Defects by Site’ to the project benchmark page.
    • Able to filter to subtype standardisation.  
    • Reviewed top indicator for project benchmark and company benchmark tab. 
  • Safety-HSE:
    • Added a tooltip description for all widgets in safety excluding the adoption page.
    • Added the last 30 days trend for meeting indicators. 
    • Added meeting users by month. 
    • Review the dashboard order for the meeting. Remove the average meeting by week information.  
    • Remove cumulative value for adoption by month and instead break it down by construction site. 
  • Activity:
    • Added Progress by Task type. 
    • Redesigned progress dashboard and removed the performance indicator.  
    • Added the last 30 days indicator on progress for number of tasks completed and relative progress. 
  • Fixes:
    • General – Piechart will now be standard size and not squashed.
    • Quality date format will have month spelt out instead of the month written in a numerical digit.
