Novade Product Update for January, 2020

 

General

Novade Safety now has a new function that restricts the creation of Permits to Work (PTWs) if there are open expired PTWs of the same type. This will ensure that Safety Managers don’t have to waste time chasing subcontractors to close their PTWs. As communicated separately, this feature will be available from February 6.

Novade Quality

  • Rectified the following issues:
    • Mobile –
      • Homeowners were not landing on the correct screen.
      • Defects assigned to subcontractors to rectify in My Actions were not visible when clicked on.
      • Subcontractor type users were being redirected to the Start app when clicking on the Forms tab.
      • The defect lodging wizard; when lodging another defect using the floorplan, the wizard was taking users to the unit landing page.
    • Web –
      • Negative numbers were showing on some dashboards.
      • Subcontractors were unable to see the Rectify button in the web.
      • The totals in the Defects by Unit excel export were incorrect.
      • Inspections linked to multiple units were not showing up under Status and Type in the left pane.
      • The files tab was missing for Inspections.
      • The signature on a closed case was not showing in the exported PDF.
      • Defects were being exported in duplicate.
      • Batch PDF exports of forms were not including attached defects.
    • The Overview dashboard was not displaying the bar graph for Quality forms if only one template was being used on the project.
    • Users with read-only rights were able to edit data.
    • Downloading the standard defect master list from the wizard.
    • Subcontractors who were part of groups were not able to view defects assigned to them because they had no permissions to view the unit.
    • On forms where users were not returning to the form edit view after lodging defects from a punch item.
    • Floorplans were being split in exported PDFs.
    • Group assignees were unable to see comments on assigned defects.
    • A subcontractor with rights to create forms could not access a newer unit.
    • PDF attachments were not being exported in exported PDFs.
    • Subcontractors were not able to create Inspections.
    • Floorplans were not showing in Case PDFs.
    • Dates were not in the date format in exported excel spreadsheets.
    • Defects attached to a form did not show comments and tag information in the form PDF.
    • Asynchronous PDFs were not being sent via email.
  • Improved the Duplicate form function to allow all photos to be duplicated even if they were not added at an editable stage.
  • The way percentages are calculated on the By Unit Status dashboard has been modified when filters are applied to include only filtered units.
  • Improvements to Assignee PDF exports.
  • Inspections now display a status based on the main form workflow status.
  • Added the ability to assign defects to individual sub-con users instead of the entire company.
  • Added the ability for Client Admins to delete forms.
  • Mobile –
    • Added the ability to display all geocoded units on a map.
  • Web
    • Added a column for status in the Inspections table view.
    • Added timestamp and name of photo in PDF exports.
    • Added a Rejected defects column to the exported excel from the By Block dashboard.
    • If a case has defects pinned on multiple floorplans, the exported PDF now includes all floorplans where a defect has been pinned.

Novade Safety

  • Fixed Issues Where:
    • If a Safety permit was duplicated to the draft stage, subsequent stages were also duplicated.
    • Duplicated PTWs were not displaying the correct date.
    • Users with no rights to create PTWs were able to duplicate and submit PTWs.
    • Duplicated PTWs by a subcontractor were not visible to other users in the same company.
    • Fixed an issue with an error while creating Inspections.
    • Fixed an issue with the display of photo descriptions on PDFs.
    • Fixed an issue with Meetings where the number of attendees was being displayed differently based on type of user account.
    • Duplicated Meetings were not displaying the correct creation date.
    • Users without Create Incident right were able to create Incidents.
    • Exported PDFs of Observations were showing in the wrong order.
    • Fixed an issue with Action user rights not being downloaded correctly and as a result when a modified excel was uploaded rights were incorrect.
    • Mobile –
      • Negative Observations were not showing on iOS devices.
      • PTWs were not being displayed after a filter was applied.
  • Web –
    • Improved dashboards to include date range filtering where applicable.
    • Added more filters on various pages.
    • Improved UI to ensure uniformity of behavior of toolbars and filters.
  • PTW –
    • Added the ability to set default start and end times for Weekly PTWs.
    • Added the ability to restrict the creation of PTWs if open expired PTWs of the same type exist.
  • Meetings –
    • Subcontractors who create meetings can now see all the attendees.
  • Added the ability to have custom fields for Actions and Observations.
  • The unit reference number (if any) is also displayed next to the unit in the unit selection wizard. This is consistent with the behaviour in Quality.
  • Added checks to ensure that subforms of subforms are also deleted when a main form is deleted.
  • Enhanced Safety Inspections to be able to be scheduled just like Quality Inspections.

Novade Maintenance

  • Fixed issues where:
    • Meter Reading jobs had a Ready to Approve status which is not relevant to Meter jobs.
    • Fixed an issue with downloading PDFs for Jobs.
    • Overdue and Backlog were showing numbers, but no jobs were actually listed.
    • Maintenance data was not being deleted when a project was deleted.
    • Clicking on a project in the Start app was launching the user directly to the All Sites view instead of the project.
    • Fixed an issue with importing previous Jobs.
    • Certificates for assets were not visible.
    • Ready for Approval jobs were showing an incorrect colour.
    • The user had to click twice to confirm a request.
  • Added the ability to:
    • Download multiple jobs/inspections in one PDF.
    • Group templates by folder to make it easier to select the correct form for a job.
  • Enhanced the Asset selection within a unit to display only assets in that unit.
  • Changed notification behaviour to notify users of scheduled jobs even if the job is not scheduled on the same day.

Novade Activity

  • Fixed issues where:
    • Previous tasks were showing as duplicates.
    • Users with a right to create forms couldn’t see all units.
    • Users who did not have rights to complete tasks were able to complete tasks.
    • Activities could not be tagged.
    • Web –
      • Total activities in the left pane were excluding archived activities.
  • Mobile –
    • Added a search bar for Activities in the Activity and Category tabs.
  • Web –
    • Added the ability to filter units when exporting QR codes.
    • Added a new loading icon.
    • Improved filter layout.
    • Improved UI so that the entire unit name can be displayed when linking an Activity to it.
    • Added a Block filter to the Milestone Summary page.
  • Added the ability to view drawings linked to a unit.
  • When an Activity has tasks archived, they are displayed as archived instead of 0.
  • Added checks to ensure that all data is deleted when a project is deleted.

Novade People

  • Fixes
    • Fixed an issue where Power Users were unable to move users to another team.
  • Web –
    • Added a history log to user accounts to track any changes.
    • Added the ability to export QR codes for people with photos and company name.
  • Modified terminology to list a main contractor company name as type Default instead of None.
  • People can edit their own language preferences.
  • People Power Users can now import/activate/deactivate users and change passwords for accounts.
  • Added a log for company transfers for subcontractor type people.

Novade Insights

  • The time formats have been modified to make them easier to read.
  • Data presented in Insight excludes test data and projects.
  • A new loading animation is displayed when a page is loading.
  • Various dashboards in Workforce have been modified.
  • Ability to quickly identify activities that were incorrectly recorded in the system. These activities are identified as Dubious tasks. Tasks identified as dubious can be identified and ignored for the purposes of Activity analysis.
  • Optimized loading times when large amounts of data are selected for filtering.
  • Added filters for PTWs and Incidents.
