Novade Product Update for May 2020

 

Launch of Novade Reports

Novade has launched a new module called Novade Reports. Novade Reports facilitates the capture of real-time production data, automates site diaries and enables monitoring of field productivity. You can find more information at: https://www.novade.net/novade-reports-en/

As of June 4, we will also add the ability for homeowners to view rejected defects. In times like this where in-person joint inspections are difficult, it was necessary to modify our product to provide the homeowner with more information.

Novade Quality

  • Added the ability to:
    • Add template groups to unit types instead of only individual templates.
    • Define custom Excel exports for forms using Windward.
  • Added by type filter for defects on mobile and web.
  • Added a check to prevent the main form from being completed if subforms still need action.
  • Removed the display of cost fields in PDF exports for defects if cost is not enabled.
  • Web – On the Unit by Form dashboard for mandatory templates, we added a new grey colour to distinguish between units that do not have a form created and those that are not required to have that type of form.
  • Web – Removed columns for cases and defects in the units table view when defect management is not enabled.
  • Mobile:
    • Added back a count for defects per status in the case mobile view. This was inadvertently removed in the new Quality UI.
    • Added the ability to sort mandatory templates alphabetically.
    • Added the ability to drill down to defect descriptions in the By Type dashboard.
    • Removed the assignees and dashboards for Defect Management if not enabled.
  • Fixes
    • Info tab in a unit could not be clicked.
    • A display issue when exporting forms with subforms to PDF.
    • On the web where unit statuses were displaying as an error.
    • Units without a type were being filtered out when selecting the unit to create forms.
    • Project custom fields could not be saved.
    • The export to PDF button was not working.
    • The ‘Make Read-Only’ function for an account not removing all the rights.
    • Custom forms not exporting in PDF.
    • Forms could not be duplicated.
    • Child forms were able to be created without creating the parent form.
    • Mandatory photos on defects were causing a delay when confirming defects.
    • Workflow steps were missing from the PDF export and the web view of a form.
    • A field was not showing up in a custom table view.
    • The Forms à Types dashboard was freezing.
    • QR code scanning to select a unit not working.
    • The pop-up prompting a user to add a photo to a defect was appearing even after the photo is added.
    • Incorrect page breaks when exporting defects to PDF.
    • The forms tab was inaccessible on mobile when all forms are archived.

Novade Safety

  • Incidents – Added the ability the record Man Days Lost in Incidents.
  • Added an item for “cc” for Observations and Actions in My Tasks.
  • Added a notification when a user is a contributor or is cc’ed on an Observation or Action.
  • Added the ability to see Safety forms and Units on a map.
  • Inspections – Added to My Tasks.
  • Observations – Added the ability to archive Observations.
  • PTW – Added linked workers to the excel export of PTWs.
  • Mobile – Changed the “New” button to “Create New” to sync with Quality UI.
  • Web – Changed the table view of expired permits to show the Valid Until date instead of Date Submitted.
  • Bug Fixes:
    • The inspection types item was missing from the left pane menu.
    • Making an account Read-Only was not removing the Create Inspection right.
    • Numbers of archived permits not displaying correctly after applying a date filter.
    • The number of Incidents reflected in the left pane was not the correct number.
    • The Inspection tab not showing in the unit view.
    • Users on projects not using Certificates for equipment were unable to create PTWs.
    • A user cc’ed on an Observation was not redirected to the Observation on the mobile when the notification was clicked.

Novade Maintenance

  • Added:
    • More granular user rights for Inspections and Meter Readings.
    • Filter by categories and tags when selecting an asset for inspection.
    • A search bar for assignees when assigning them to a job.
    • The ability to multi-select and delete records.
  • Optimised performance to speed up the interface for users.
  • Ensured that the date format matches the region of the user.
  • Added the ability to assign inspections and jobs to teams.
  • Added a submit button at the bottom of a form for ease of use on long forms.
  • Mobile – Added Request Classification selection.
  • Mobile – Added the ability to create an asset.
  • Mobile – Added the ability to update the GPS coordinates of an asset.
  • Web:
    • Improved filters for Jobs and Inspections
    • Mass delete asset groups.
    • Assign users and teams via Excel import and to display this information in Excel exports.
    • A filter by Request Classification on requests dashboard.
    • Multi-select Inspections, Jobs and Requests.
  • Fixes:
    • Clicking on requests in My Actions.
    • Multiple units were showing up when selecting a unit for a Request.
    • Teams were not showing up in the filters for the calendar view.
    • Team managers were receiving notifications for submitted jobs even if their rights were disabled.
    • A UI issue with the incorrect tab being selected and colour displaying when clicking in Today on mobile.
    • Managers were able to see the drafts of all forms.
    • Inspections with forms without a workflow could not be submitted.
    • The Asset tab was not displaying on the web.
    • Assets could not be selected due to incorrect filtering.
    • The asset count was incorrect on the web.
    • All Inspections were showing ‘Pending Start’ regardless of their actual status.
    • Requests were not visible on the dashboard.
    • Users were not receiving pull notifications.
    • Clicking on dashboard numbers not redirecting to the correct view.

Novade Workforce

  • Added the ability to attach Qualifications to workers not using timecards.
  • Fixes:
    • Team managers were not seeing menu items in the left pane on the web.

Novade Activity

  • Added the ability to automatically archive completed Tasks and Activities.
  • Added the ability to display custom fields for Unit, Activity, and Task on the Info tab.
  • Web – Added a Milestones column to the Tasks table view.
  • Web – Added a column for Tasks in the Forms table view and excel export to show which tasks the forms are linked to.
  • Fixes:
    • The spatial hierarchy filters not working on the Forms table view.
    • Forms were not exporting to PDF.
    • Form names were inconsistent.
    • Duplication of tasks instead of an update when updating an activity template.
    • Tasks were not displaying in order of Planned Start Date.
    • The target completion date was not being updated when a task is delayed in tracking mode.
    • A JavaScript error when clicking on edit on Activity Info tab.
    • Number of forms requiring action differed on web and mobile.

Novade People

  • Added:
    • Use external QR codes instead of Novade QR codes.
    • Define the visibility for custom fields.
    • Record and store temperature readings in a person’s profile.
    • Teams’ web view to display which projects the team is associated with.
  • Fixes:
    • Maintenance module was removed for some people who had the meter reading rights enabled.
    • Duplicate users could not be merged.

Project Center

  • Added the ability to make general information on PDF exports optional.
  • Added Maintenance user rights section.
  • Added a check to prevent the import of duplicate units.
  • Fixes:
    • Defect master lists could not be accessed in the Setup wizard.
    • Projects could not be deleted.
    • An Excel export of units was showing incorrect data.
    • Not being able to compose and send broadcast messages.
    • Workflow displays in the exported PDF even though “Do Not Show Workflow” is enabled.
    • Making a Safety user read-only was not removing right to escalate/de-escalate Action to/from NC.
    • Subform could not be linked to a form template.
    • Quality case name formats were incorrect.
    • Some stages of workflow could not be set to editable.

Novade Insights

  • General:
    • Site information can now be filtered by type, start/end date, construction value, the country where the site is located, and the size of the site.
    • Information related to the hour of the day (such as approval time of PTWs) is linked to the site time zone. This makes Insights work for sites across different time zones.
  • Quality:
    • A new tab with a focus on rejected Quality forms.
    • Change in date display for better readability.
    • Change in dashboards choices and naming of project benchmark and companies benchmark.
    • Defects lateness color code has been standardised.
  • Safety:
    • Removed the feedback form at the end of some tabs to ensure simplified UI.
    • Colour codes is now consistent in Observations dashboard.
    • The distribution duration and color code for Action has been adjusted.
    • Most of the adoption graphs are split by site and the cumulative area chart has been removed.
    • Meetings by month have been moved higher in the meetings page for better readability.
    • In the Adoption tab, the number of days since the last incident has been replaced with the number of incidents.
    • In the Adoption tab, added a table to compare adoption by company, split by the object, total adoption, and number of users.
  • Activity:
    • Time format has been changed with the month being displayed.
    • Improvement in colour used on Indicatiors to ensure better readability.
    • Description of dashboard has been improved to ensure data is interpreted as accurately as possible.
    • Replaced the word ‘time’ with ‘duration’ in many dashboards.
  • Fixes:
    • Demo data appears in the filter.
    • Safety:
      • Corrected an issue where the employee does not appear for a specific group of subform.
      • Resolved a bug where source case and incidents were mixed.
      • The workflow in Chinese which was not properly managed.
      • Actions that were not counted when assigned to a company.
